Matthew just might be the nicest high school freshman on the planet. After Greg said I could camp out on their lawn, Matthew asked if I wanted him to go fetch my cart, which I had left down at the end of the driveway. And later, when I was setting up my tent, he came over to see if I wanted him to make me some chicken nuggets. I certainly wasn't that thoughtful when I was his age! The three of us sat and talked for a while as I was eating, and there was a wonderful positivity and peacefulness to these guys. Plus they had really good-smelling soap in the shower (I'm clean, Mom!).
Hi, Greg and Matthew
Sounds like Matt was very impressed with Matthew. To tell you the truth, I don’t think I was as thoughtful as Matthew was either when I was young. We really do live in a wonderful world. I too, had the pleasure to spend some time with Matt. I found him to be a positive and strong willed man. And that smile can take him anywhere he wants to go! I know he will finish his walk. I could see it in his eyes.
Matthew and I really enjoyed our brief time with Matt. What an interesting young man. The life experiences he is going to have on this trip will be a great memory for the rest of his life. Maybe he will write a book when he is finished.
wish we had more persons like them in todays world, life would be more peacefull. god bless them…
Just when you think the world is filled with unkind and ignorant people, you encounter people like this. A thoughtful teenager – what a wonderful way to be. God Bless.
I wish there was a “like” button like on facebook! *likes*
Do you think God may be trying to tell you something?
Walk (ROCK) on.

To Matthew that offered the chicken nuggets. My son, also named Matthew, would love that shirt! WTG on being a fine young man!
Jesus = Prince of Peace. Might explain the peacefulness you sensed with these men.
Kindness and how to properly wear your baseball cap is how young Matthew rolls…
