I haven’t been keeping track

But I suspect this is the best county name I've encountered so far.

Does this count as a inanimate critter? Little narrower then Beaver Tale County I suspect.

Awww! Reminds me of a favorite Christmas special when I was a kid…”Emmit Otter’s Jugband Christmas.”

  3. Karen Too says:

Oh, okay. At first, I thought you hadn’t been keeping track of the otter, and/or their tails.

  4. Dionne says:

the further west you go you should keep track of home many lewis counties versus how many clark counties/parks/streets/etc :) oh and might i suggest instead of your interstate route over the mtns between ID and Montana that you take the LoLo Pass (it follows the Lewis and Clark route)

I am glad to hear you like Ottertail, it is a wonderful county (and also my birth place). Hopefully, you will get to see the huge otter in Fergus Falls. And, yes, there are pelicans in MN . . . . LOTS of them. I’m guessing you will see more in the next few days. Enjoy!

  6. Brian says:

Lolo pass is definitely the way to cross into Idaho. The views are stunning, and all the snow should be gone by the time you make it there!
