  1. Karen Too says:

Are there any signs in this town that aren’t strange?

  2. Jeff says:

May be just maybe matt will not buy that used car and will keep on walking, walking and walking

  3. Don in Tennessee says:

Did CarQuest have any spar tirs for your three wheeler? I believe the sign is referring to RAIN-but I could be wrong!

Once I thought I was wrong, but I was wrong, because I wasn’t wrong!

    – Maybe we will see this on a sign somewhere!

    • Glenda says:

could be – it’s been a rather unusually long cool wet summer – by now the temps can and do reach into the upper 90’s and Low 100’s – Yes in Montana we get 100 degree temps

  4. Dennis in So Cal says:

I would imagine that this message went up earlier in the year when things weren’t quite so warm in Montana.

    • Cindy in Lewistown Montana says:

We’ve not exactly had summer until just lately. It snowed until end of April (29th to be exact) and then it was just plain cold and rainy. So July has been our first HEAT WAVE!! hehe! We’re havin’ a heat wave……………a tropical heat wave!!!! Been a couple days in the upper 80’s to 91 degrees though! Now that is tooooooo hot for comfort!!!

  5. Laurenis says:

Oh my goodness, this is the best sign yet IMO… very random! Keep on walking matt!

  6. katzien in austin says:

Ah. Ya got car parts but no car. I guess you gotta walk the resta the way. ;-)

  7. Chris says:

Maybe just maybe they needed a few extra lines to at least add “…”

  8. Joel H says:

I refuse to think warm thoughts, so definately not…

  9. Nik Scebba says:

Actually the sign is because we have had a blizzerd in May, and a 90+ mph halestorm in June. I live in Lewistown, and met Matt at Subway yesterday. He was very nice. He stayed overnight at the Hutterite King Colony West of town. I featured him on my live show this morning, (without interview), promoting the walk and this site.

The other signs are from a place that sells “Antler Art”, a very popular thing for tourists here, and Yogo sapphires are a local thing too.

    • Laurenis says:

That makes sense! I was daydreaming that the sign was in regard to something on a broad level….political, or just love for mankind or something.

      • April from CA says:

Yeah, I thought it meant warm like warm and friendly. Like if we all thought warm and friendly thoughts than maybe, just maybe this world would be a better place!

    • Do you have a link to your show for the rest of us to see or hear? That’s great that you got to meet him and such. Thanks Nik. And thanks to for the “locals” report. Always nice to find out interesting facts from the people in the area who actually live there.

    • Don in Tennessee says:

      Nik

Thanks for being hospitable to HOBO MATT and for featuring him on your live show this morning. He may need some help from people who have heard about him in your part of the country in them their hills you have!

Peace and have a great weekend!

    • Angelica says:

I thought it was about peeing in your pants….

    • MN Roxanne says:

Nik… thanks for featuring Matt on your show! He is a very nice guy- hope your audience was listening and will be on the look out for our hobo Matt. Thanks for all the local info… We had a weird spring in MN too…but no blizzards in May thankfully!!

    • Dennis in So Cal says:

Thanks for helping to get word of Matt’s travels out to Montana. Hopefully it will help him find more helping hands along the way.

    • Cindy in Lewistown Montana says:

Shoooot Nik, I thought it was April 29th that we had the last snow storm. I left a post above……..under Dennis in So Cal’s comment. But close enough I guess.
      .
I didn’t know a thing about Matt and his travels until I heard you on the radio on Frieday morning. I’ve been going through all his pictures ever since! Thanks for the heads up Nik!!! I saw Matt around town but didn’t have a clue what he was up to. Glad you stopped and chatted with him or many people in Lewistown might not have know about Matt and his travels!
      .
      Have a GOOD ONE MATT!!!!!

    • Stephen says:

Hey Nik, How about a dedication to Matt for tomorrow morning’s show: the Ventures classic instrumental hit “Walk Don’t Run”. KXLO rocks!

  10. Gigi says:

Now the sign makes sense. Thank you Nik for the explanation.

Thank you , too, for the update on Matt and for featuring him on your show.

  11. Stoner says:

I think this sign is a statement on how cold a spring we have had in Montana. We are only now starting to get summer temperatures.

  12. Mindy says:

Probably weather releated, but I would like to think of the larger possibilities. So many things we could do if our thoughts were united.

  13. OMG..The winter this year went on forever…Like nic said a blizzard in may, My kids had a snow day in MAY!! LOL. and it’s rained progressively since..withexception of maybe 12 days this year of 80 or above weather
