Remember ol' Norbert from way back in eastern Pennsylvania? I stayed with his family in the house where the guy tried to shoot his daughter back in the 30s. Well, I met his brother Mike this morning! Mike was heading home to Spokane when he spotted me walking down the highway, so he pulled over to say hi and make a contribution to my restaurant fund. Can you see the resemblance to Norbert? It was very apparent in person.

Cool! They sure do look alike. How neat to meet brothers at opposite sides of the country. Did Mike look you up on purpose or was it a real accident?

Well, I’m the FIRST Candice to write on the Mike! page! :) I certainly see the resemblance between ol’ Norbert and Mike! I must say, the view behind Mike looks mighty inviting, except for the fence, that is!

Oh my gosh! How incredible is that?? Two members of the same family at opposite ends of your trip! Awesome. Did he know who you are? I would imagine he had to have known you from his brother. How neat that he saw you and was able to stop and say “HI”. What a wonderful world. Glad you were able to get a “deposit” of sorts to your restaurant fund. Gotta keep Matt fed. Thanks Mike! for taking the time to stop for Matt.

Norbert’s is my husband. Mike knew of Matt but didn’t know that he would be in that area. It was a chance encounter! Mike was working in Montana and lives in Spokane, WA and was taking a shortcut home! Miss you Mike and Matt!
