I’m puzzled by this sign as well…what the?

Whoo hoo!! #1 for me!!!! :) Pays to be on the West Coast I guess.

  2. Gigi says:

I don’t get the sign either, and do people really need to know his waistline?

  3. Karen Too says:

The only Les Webber I could find on Google is a pitcher by that name.

Given that this sign talks about a belt, being a champion, etc., I’m guessing this Les Webber was probably a boxer, which also accounts for the waist measurement.

    • Laurenis says:

I knew someone…well, vaguely, who used to write stuff like this all the time, out of context, very random, who was also a boxer. It was odd and I still don’t quite “get it” but this sign immediately reminded me of this individual….very odd. This must be along the same wave length…maybe due to all the head trauma?

  4. Les Webber says:

Thats me..and it sounds a little bit like all of us dreaming…but WHAT do I know.

  5. Roe says:

Well, I think we need a little more than that, Les! Let us know what it is all about! I like the age 29 and holding – at 54, I can appreciate that!
As a rural carrier I love the awesome mailboxes, too, Matt. Take care

  6. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:

Yeah really, WHAT??? no locals to fill us in on this one today? Come on guys, someone’s gotta know something.

  7. Don in Tennessee says:

It’s the DOMINOS – All of these things about this person has had a DOMINO effect on how great they are!

  8. Janine says:

So I search for “Les Webber” and get nothing. I try “Les Webber Plains Montana” and get Webber, Matthew (Les)here: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mtsander/plainscem.html

I try an image search for “Matthew Webber” and get a whole mess of unicorns. “Les Webber” gets me a bunch of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Les Miserables. “Les Webber Plains Montana” gets me beer can chicken. I give up.

  9. deb says:

This is so weird — and yet compelling! I google the quote but didn’t find anything that way either. It looks like a professionally painted sign (not just some guy with a piece of cardboard and a magic marker). Really curious…

  10. Dennis in MI says:

There is an entry for a former baseball pitcher on wikipedia by that name who was a World Series champ, though he didn’t play in the postseason…perhaps the reason for his ridiculous boast!

  11. Abby in Indiana says:

It also appears there is also a local scholarship for this guy:

    http://plainsschools.net/index.aspx/scholarships/LocalScholarships

It doesn’t give much information on Mr. Webber, but it appears he may be some sort of local hero? Interesting. :)

  12. Joel H says:

    I’m guessing he’s a Yahtzee Champion
