    That is amazing!!!

  2. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:

    That’s one big bridge.

Hey, I’m first 3 times now?

  3. Michelle says:

I quite like how they acknowledged that something bigger and more unique would most likely come along.

  4. Jeff says:

Unique at it’s time……Love that phrase.

  5. All the way to “Old El Pasco”…now that IS a long bridge…where are my glasses???…

  6. Mike in Phoenix, AZ says:

Since this bridge was constructed, Kiewit Construction has become one of the largest construction companies in the United States. Guess they knew then and obviously know now what they are doing. No “Galloping Girddy” bridge here.

  7. deanna valenti meyer says:

This is so interesting to me…especially with the back and forth drama going on in the planning of the new I-5 bridge over the Columbia here in Vancouver. Even more interesting is the fact that there is a Kiewit Construction office right near the I-5 bridge.

  8. Gigi says:

The sign says it’s the second largest concrete cable-stayed bridge in the world so I looked up who got the record. It’s the Sutong Bridge in China .. http://www.worldrecordsacademy.org/biggest/longest_cable-stayed_bridge-the_Sutong_Bridge_sets_world_record_80280.htm
