  1. Lisa Downing says:

this is just sad. I had a chair just like the office chair in 1979- It was a cast-off then. Such a sad yard.

  2. MN Roxanne says:

I don’t know why the sign is like…. here we are we’re proud of our home… they need some curb appeal and TLC…

  3. Gigi says:

At least there’s an awesome mailbox ..

    • Roe says:

Not an awesome mailbox, that is for pkgs., the slots are the hardest to use for mail. Especially if carrying flats, letters and a package!

  4. Jeff says:

Now Now….we all have bad porch days. Cool that the home is a homestead. Home is where the heart is. We should not judge a book by it’s cover.

  5. deanna valenti meyer says:

Well said Jeff…well said. My yard is so green (gotta love the Pac NW!) but it’s very overgrown. I try to keep up with it so it’s at least presentable…but when you walk in my house….mwuah! Spotless! :)

    • Jeff says:

you know I would love to let the grass grow to full height and to seed to enjoy it swaying in the breeze…like some of matt’s ol video’s from Prairie….but the minute you do …you get a ticket to clean it up or else…… . Mwuah spotless…I am laughing so hard right now…thanks….Heard the sound effects too.

  6. Candice in Alabama says:

Sadly unkempt. Appears the terminator is spying out the window.

    • Candice in Alabama says:

Maybe they had a yard sale and just never cleaned up after it was over. I see a beautiful potted rose. And a red hat lady’s hat. A cute little frog planter/statuary. Is that bandaids on the door bell buzzer?

    • charlie says:

      @C.I.A – yer a hoot! Terminator! HA!

  7. Christopher says:

Judging from all the empty beer cans and smoke packs, the primary concern here is more likely where the next case of Bud Chelada and cigarettes will be showing up rather than how tidy the porch is…

  8. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:

Well, for me upon first sight earlier today my first thoughts were Hoarder. Now reading some of peoples comments I see the beer that someone pointed out. Now I’m thinking alcoholic hoarder. But some it may just be someone elderly and can no longer keep up with the place. It happens and it’s sad when that’s the case. But positive people here pointed out the mailbox! I didn’t see that.

  9. Thomas says:

Oh, whew. For a second there I thought you’d come by my house. Maybe my bride is right, better get out there and tidy up, you can never tell when Matt is going to walk by.

  10. hks says:

I think it must have cost them a fortune to maintain the “genuine” Homestead appearance for all these years.

  11. carol says:

What in the heck is that glowing red light in the window? Looks like someone has a bead on passersby !
