Day 138

James and Amanda

August 11th, 2010

Amanda emailed me a while back inviting me to stay with her and James when I got to Kennewick. Well, I got to Kennewick. They were wonderful hosts, fulfilling all my cleaning/eating/talking/laughing needs. After our great big spaghetti dinner last night, I learned from James, who works in IT, the kind of websites people actually visit while at work. Good news, all you employed people: this one is quite harmless by comparison! Amanda got up at the crack of dawn this morning just to see me off and send me on my way with a farewell card and gift.

Blessings to Amanda and James for taking good care of Matt! Although I must ask, if any site is as addictive as this one, can it be considered harmless? lol

    Amanda and James

Thank you for giving Matt an invitation to your hospitable home. Looks like you 2 took very good care of Matt, just like everyone else has. I am sure he was recharged and ready to continue his trek.

The spaghetti dinner loaded up his carbs for more walking. Just what he needed.

Great hosts and you look like a great sweet couple.

Glad to see something is still made in the United States-the shirt says some beer (Old Town Distillery)? is made in USA-
    Good luck to you both!

  8. Julie in Cincinnati says:

  9. young says:

Amanda’s up at dawn and she sees the light
Matt’s got a walkin’ thing, he’s gonna get it right
There ain’t no danger he can go that far
James’s a believer Matt will finish what he starts
    ……
    Walk is the word
Walk is the time, is the place, is the motion
Walk is the way he is grooving
    ……
He takes the pressure and he throws away
    Conventionality belongs to yesterday
    Walk is the word
    It’s got groove it’s got meaning…
