Actually, it's waiting to be assembled. They're installing a new transmission line along State Route 14, and these half-built towers line the road.

    Looks like the other tower monster finally took one out. Or it tried to transform and got stuck and broke. Funny either way.

      So many new wind turbines have been and still are being constructed in the Columbia River Gorge, these transmission lines are needed to distribute the energy created from the turbines.

  6. This made me laugh outloud! The comments too :-) It is as if it should be part of the background in a Godzilla movie. It’s great to see you’re being greeted with such great weather during this final stretch, and I’m always surprised by how quickly you’re moving. I hope there will be a big welcoming committee for you in Rockaway Beach!
