    Who owns the stroller?

  2. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:

Matt! Is that your new cart?

  3. tna says:

    I don’t see it. : (

look at the bottom right..you will see the girl figure is green not cut out…like all the other figures on the plate. Reversal of pattern right there.

Yeah Jeff but what about the rest of it? I’ve been trying to figure that out since Matt’s posting of this pic. The stroller being in the way kind of blocks it. But it is a good catch.

“Figure–ground reversal may also be used an intentional visual design technique in which an existing image’s foreground and background colors are purposely swapped to create new images.”

the lady is the “swap” that goes against the rest of the design.

In the example you see the two women or a vase…. So in the above you see the “playground & area” and when you look at the “green grass” instead of seeing the woman as a cut out she is “swapped” and her outline is the cutout space.

Does that help you? Hope so.

Oh, ok. I thought maybe it was the shadow on the ground looked like Skeletor.

  4. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:
