I'm walking every street in New York City.
This is the counterpoint to my
walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend
a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled about 8000 miles on foot — all within a single city.

Thanks so much to everyone who has donated! I now have enough funds to keep walking through the end of 2012 and a few months into 2013. I don't want to get ahead of myself, so I'm removing the donation button until I start to run low again. Gotta stay hungry!
Or someone had a hole in their bag of salt, was trying to walk around people on a busy sidewalk, and…. well, you know the rest.
Doesn’t salt hurt the trees?
I’m from CA don’t know those kind of things.
This is the intersection of Flushing and Throop Ave., right around the corner from where I teach!
Forget the salt. The picture of this mom walking with her two young children is precious!
