I'm walking every street in New York City.
This is the counterpoint to my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled more than 8,000 miles on foot — all within a single city. Details!

I’m no birdologist, but I think the tropical types eat seeds, bugs? – unlike the worm eating Robin types…
Cute. But I don’t think of Parrots as being loose in a city.
Here in Caracas, we have an astonishing quantity of parrots loose on the streets. Some people say that you find more here in the city than in the countryside (don’t know if that’s true), since ironically they find a more friendly environment than in the wilderness where they have more predators. Obviously, unlike N.Y. Caracas is a tropical city.
Didn’t Matt point out a few days ago that there were wild parrots in Manhattan?
I think it would be very hard for them to survive the winter there.
