They have enormous dandelions out West.

    It’s Salsify, and if you’re in a pinch the roots and leaves are edible.

      Salsify is a highly invasive weed. If it gets highly established no other plant can live as it releases chemicals that keep other plant from growing. I have spent many hours spraying these weeds to keep them down our property. I’m not talking about a few lots many Acres.

    That’s actually called milk weed, you can see the “milk” in the stem when you snap it off….but giant annoying dandelion works just as well! :)

    It is a salsify. Did you know that salsifys are forbs? I tell ya, the stuff we’re learning in these photo comments…
