Day 7

Bruce Di Mola

January 6th, 2012

Bruce's grandfather, an Italian immigrant, opened this printing business in Bushwick over 100 years ago. As I was walking by, my eye was drawn inside by the incredible collection of paper, type pieces, and ancient printing presses.

I love the brand name on the printing press – KLUGE. interesting piece on the company http://www.kluge.biz/index.php?page=a-history-of-innovation. But this is what I was thinking of when I saw the name, http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=kluge. I wonder if they are connected, but it doesn’t appear so. Here is some more. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kludge
