Nice to see you got some “Rest” in a wifi “Area” haha. Sorry, that was cheesier than WI. =) The sky looks soo much bigger out there than here in CT. . . the clouds look like you could lay down on ’em and take a nap! Would you rather nap in that beautiful canola field or (if it were @ all ever possible…) on the clouds?
The sign is especially out of place in your pictures because of the wide open sky, vast grassy (and flowery) plains, etc.
We know WiFi, etc., is “out there,” but it’s not something that I’m deliberately thinking about when I’m viewing pictures from your cell phone, on your blog, via my computer (using a wireless connection).
Two red trucks passing each other. Like a mirror into a parallel universe?
Don’t get any ideas…you just got done resting, leaving a cast of thousands without our daily fix. How unthoughtful! Looking ahead at your immediate path, it looks like you are likely to be one lonely traveler. Stay safe.
I found this location Matt – using Google street view – I can see the REST AREA sign on the right and the trees on the left. Must have just missed you!
With the front that blew through last night, I think things were pretty soggy this morning. Perhaps the Jamestown area missed out but over in Bismarck it was a torrent at about 2am. Hopefully things dry up for ya by the time you get here.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
hmmm. set up a coffee stand and you got a moneymaker!

At least you look like you’re on more of a main road than a swamp.
Here’s to better weather and less water covered roadways this week.
