Who doesn’t like a little fresh oil with their loose rock? Mmm, mmm!
I can just make out the words in the background on the sign, but I can’t tell what the old ones are spelling. “Surface paved,” and then something else?
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.

It says “surface paved ahead” I think.
Yep….”Surface paved ahead” – with “fresh oil loose rock”….mmm hmm Way to go recycling signs!!!!
I know what the other sign down the road says….ambulance ahead!
it’s like a grateful dead reunion show on the gulf of mexico
I do see the word “ahead” now that you’ve all pointed it out. Thanks for the feedback.
Funny, Jeff, but true; fresh oil/loose rock is not a good combo. Makes me wonder what else has happened on this stretch of road.
Perhaps this is a sign that should be placed in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico?
