I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the
details of my trip

Here's my progress so far:
soggy, wet fields after too much rain…kind of looks like that here in parts of NW Indiana…
Crop circles. Look out for those Aliens Matt!
Keep dry–there’s a huge storm system blowing through.
Interesting. I’ll be watching to see if you come near our home.
To the newbies following Matt: the map that loads on the web page is generally very accurate. If you zoom in, and find some solid coordinates, you can go to google maps and quite often zoom in using the street view function.
Unfortunately, he is currently in a dead zone for that. Heh, the street view cut off about a half mile from his little video and doesnt take up again for a few miles. It is actually kind of fun to see more of where he has been … for instance the other day I zoomed in on those interesting doodads he posted a few days ago — they looked quite impressive from along the road although his closeups were great! One could easily see why they attracted his attention.
Beware though … Matt often goes where the google streetview mapping car dared not travel!
I don’t know though, it looks to me here that he has stumbled across the tracks of the Mars Opportunity Rover … hey, they were right, there IS water!!!
Since no one has said it yet today…..I must state that my wife is now living Vicariously through my obsession with matts walk and daily updates. I think Websters will now change the definition of Vicariously…to read…See Matt Green….and everyone says…oh I get it.
Crop Circles..YES that is what they are. Hats off to Thomas…cause I almost spilled my beer laughing at that one too. Peace Matt….see you at your next postings…..
Pretty, and incredible how life will sprout up all over the place.
Okay, I couldn’t find one with criss-cross tracks, but the tracks on an almost featureless landscape …
