I'm walking every street in New York City.
This is the counterpoint to
my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled more than 8,000 miles on foot — all within a single city.

Your donations allow me to keep walking full-time. If you think what I'm doing is valuable and you'd like to offer some support, I would be very grateful. On the other hand, if you think I'm a worthless bum, feel free to email me and tell me to get a job, bozo. Both are excellent options!
Call me a wiener if you like but I find this practice super gross (that is, tying a garbage bag to your fence as a way of preventing people from littering).
All it does is legitimize the idea that it’s okay to throw out stuff anywhere in this city instead of in a real city trash can.
How about people getting used to the idea that they actually have to carry that cup or candy wrapper with them until they get to an actual city trash can or (gasp!) home?
That’s why whenever I see bags like this I take them off the fence in question and throw them in the nearest city trash can (usually only about two or three blocks away).
Signed,
Your friendly neighborhood wiener
