swallows – love it. That is the most in one spot I have seen. Kind of like a swarm of mosquitos….
Nice video. thanks for the “live action” shot. It is appreciated.

Pretty sure those are barn swallows, they are eating bugs. They aren’t afraid to get too close to you too. Apparently, there are a lot of bugs around that ditch.

your humor has devolved to a sub human level

    happy belated birthday!

  13. Ummm… actually it’s titled Bird-day, not birthday. I thought Matt’s actual birthday was back a couple of months? Go back in the archives I believe he celebrated his birthday back in Pa. if I’m not mistaken. But hey, you have more birthday wishes, either late or early depending on how you look at it.

  14. Sven says:

Are you on top of a bridge? The swallows might have nests underneath. They love to nest under roofs or any other manmade cover.

  15. Tracy says:

My ornithologist husband says they are cliff swallows and that they are nesting under the bridge (and eating bugs).

  16. Janell@fgo says:

You captured the ever present wind too. Can’t get away from that in ND, can you.
