Really cool visual Matt, but where are you? You look like you’re in the middle of now where! I know you’re in ND but wow, desolate to say the least. But it is beautiful.
but the man walks up to 30 miles a day……When he writes the book…(hint hint) perhaps we will learn his theory and how he thought ahead…like hmmm pretty baren here…let me walk 15 miles where google satelite shows a home or two i might pitch a tent at.
MATT Fact: He left in a Huricane without a name in Jersey…had pretty sunny skys most of the way..and is now stuck in a rain pocket again.
At least this is more like a road than the previous picture, even with all of the mud here. Did you bring your waders? You might need them pretty soon.
This looks so desolate! How do you ever keep going looking at that road ahead of you? I would get so depressed looking at that. It must seem that you are not moving….
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
Things are looking a little wet there in North Dakota today…Must be my imagination, or does that road seem wider than usual?

Oops! I meant “no where”. lol.
2 pictures ago, there was NOTHING in sight!
“Nothing” is actually a town here in AZ. It is located along US 93 between Wickenburg and I-40. Doubtful it was in the picture but then ……………
awesome :D It is west of Bagdad at milepost 148½ on U.S. Route 93 … lol

Are you camping out many nights? I would think it would be getting harder to find a place to stay everynight as things get more sparse out west.
I’ve been thinking the same thing, Jaime.

i definitely want to walk and be at that location… but not until it gets dark :D
It’s fun to watch the color of the gravel roads change as you make your way from area to area. Pink is quite charming.
A road less traveled I may say.
I bet the sound of the dirt under your tires sounds neat…especially wtih the road being wet. Maybe I’m just weird.
we are all weird in our different ways.
every quiet road and every lovely person; i am envious, to be sure

Is that a DIRT road or a DIRTY road?
