Congrats!!! Half way there is huge…. and in in a “Growth Award” city at that! Kudos Matt- you are doing a great job just walkin’
    Thanks for taking us along.

  2. Hooray! Yippee! Way to go Matt! Glad you made it halfway! How does it feel to have accomplished so much already? Good luck on your future journeys.

  3. Amanda in WA says:

Woohoo!!! Grats man! That is awesome! You have some beautiful travel ahead of you! I don’t know how you keep on track. I would be wandering all over the place wanting to see everything!! Keep it up!!

  4. Karen Too says:

You are making incredible time, not that that’s the point. Congrats on reaching the halfway mark.

  5. Joel from CA says:

Congratulations on your halfway milestone, Matt! I kinda joined the party late, having started following your trek on Day 72, but I’m in awe of your adventurous spirit… you are capturing the imagination of a growing audience hungry for that offbeat magic to bring back a sense of wonderment to their predictable day to day lives. You’re like a modern day Huck Finn with portable cell and camera. Keep up the magic! We’ll be in the millions rooting for you when you reach the west coast!

  6. Julie says:

I am with Joel, came on board a bit late….Enjoying every minute of your great adventure!!! Have gotten many of my friends and realatives following along with your steps to your goal!!! WAY TO GO Matt… “Keep on walking, one step at a time” 8-)

  7. Brenda says:

  9. Rusty says:

Hey Matt, I just learned about your trek and I look forward to following the second half of your journey. The pictures and stories are great. I will be enjoying life vicariously through you for the next few months.

    • Jeff says:

“vicariously” THERE IS THAT WORD AGAIN…..I am gonna go back all 80 days and find out how many times this word has been used…..

side note….I am running a pool…..will matt complete the trip in 160 days. 80 days half way mark…couple days off only….any betters? Only kidding on the “Pool” and “bett” comments… but I am going with 157 days. – or less –

  10. Renee says:

Congrats! I am loving the random pictures. Enjoy the rest of your journey!

  11. Doris says:

Wow Matt, you sure are a go-getter. Half way already and it’s been less than 3 months. That’s amazing!!

Hope the second half of your trip will be as enjoyable as the first half. Stay safe and know that all who are

following you are cheering you on. Isn’t it nice knowing that you really aren’t alone on your walk everyday?

    Take care and stay safe.

  12. Jon Keller says:

You seriously are burning some dust.

  13. Michelle says:

It feels appropriate: Keep on walkin’ (forgive me?)

  14. Carol says:

Do we dare tell him he’s about seen the last of the flat land? Prepare for uphill!

    • Jeff says:

He’s probably got a plan for that too……He’ll brake out the “electric solar motor adapter” for the push cart.

  15. Jon says:

Do they post the population on their city signs in ND?

  16. Barbara Kiviat says:

    Hallelujah.

  17. Chris says:

Gratz Matt! I was wondering if you plan on making the return journey back to NY on foot via a new path once you make your goal?

  18. Kimberly J says:

Congrats! Enjoy reading about your adventure. Thanks for sharing.
