The tree’s have no clothes. Ahh…must be the bugg problems. Love the sounds of birds singing in the early, early morning. Nothing is more peaceful to the soul when taking a walk.
Matt have you passed the halfway there mark yet?? I can’t believe how quickly your walk seems to be going. Had any thoughts about walking back via a different route yet??
Still cheering you on from my desktop in SF!

That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
sounds pretty happy, eh? it was a beautiful morning!

That’s a Western Meadowlark, the state bird. Welcome to North Dakota Matt.
Music to my ears. Love listening to birds. Thanks for identifying the bird, LaRoy.
Thanks for the video, Matt.

Hi Matt ,I was just curious, Have you encountered any wild animals yet?
The state bird of Colorado too. I’m an expat living in Norway, love your photos. Take care!
Sigh! How much I want to be there alongside you…thanks every day for sharing.
Love the birdsong – What happened to those poor trees?
Think of those trees as homes to woodpeckers, etc. Maybe the ground got too marshy and they died?
Western Meadowlarks are such beautiful song birds!
