Oh my gosh! I can’t imagine walking/hiking this solo, much less while pushing a heavy cart. I’m guessing there are rocks and pebbles embedded in the tires as well as your walking boots. No wonder they call it a primitive road! Be safe!
I worry about the wear and tear on those tires of yours. If the tire go, do you have spares? That looks like it would rip them right apart. And your shoes too. That’s just got to be so hard on your legs and back. Gonna need a good massage after all this. Anyone know of a good spa or hot spring Matt can go soak in?
If anyone from Idaho asks you who you are and what your are pushing; just say I am head of the HOBO NATION and this is a SPUDNIK STATION WAGON I am pushing and I am doing spudtaneous undercover work. They will just think your brains are fried taters!
Hope those boots and wheels are holding up on this terrian. Doesn’t look very good to me for walking or pushing.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
oh my Matt – I’m feeling the bumps!
I’m not sure I’m envious of you at this moment! :)

Are you kidding me?! How long is the rough (dangerous?) stretch of road?!
About 10 Miles
I’m sure you appreciate the “Colorado Rockies” a bit more, now don’t cha?
Doesn’t look like fun to me!!!…
so much for Vicarious….right now, eh???
Hay Jeff,
It’s a good thing we are walking vicariously through him. I wouldn’t want to physically be walking in his boots right about now.
This image makes my ankles hurt, vicariously, of course.

Yikes! Good luck on that one!
Gosh! These are moments when I have to sing to keep my mind occupied and my feet moving :)
Looks like the road down isn’t a breeze… so rocky… watch your step…. take care Matt…
Oh dear, do be careful with the back, feet and ankles!
Matt

You mean, the HOBO PLANET!
We all guessed you’d get through Idaho QUICKLY but with roads like these you’ll be there for another month!
More “Rocky” road.
At least your not going uphill again?
