Looks like the structure and sign have been neglected. Smelterville, population 651. Wiki says the place recently gained prominence due to the addition of a Wal-Mart store. They should make use of the store’s hardware section (not the PC kind though)
I googled Smeltzerville, Idaho and wikipedia says, “Smelterville has recently gained prominence in Shoshone County due to the addition of a Wal-Mart store.” *blink, blink* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smelterville,_Idaho

If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
