I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

This sign cracks me up. First, it’s built like a fortress; and second both items seem so obvious. You might as well have a sign that says “Sky–look up…ground–look down”

It would have been more scenic if the grass and plants are greener but I still love the colors of the brown hills against the cloudless blue sky.
Officially scenic!
Ha ha! This is the “Official” scenic area as opposed to the “just plain” scenic area. The sign makes it all “Official”. Glad they clarified that for me though as I wasn’t sure that’s what I was seeing through the pics.
This is a spectacular part of the country. I respect “to each their own,” but I don’t see anything but beauty around here.
