Flowerful
August 18th, 2010
I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

Hi there Mrs. Green! I know that you will be so excited to see your son again and give him a great big hug. My son is close to Matt’s age and I would be missing him something terrible by now! Did you ever think that so many strangers would love your son as well!

Matt this is an awesome picture… the bright flowers with the dark forest in the back round and of course the river to top it off… just love it! Also love that your mom posted first… sweet peas for your mom….
When I see the flowers I feel like Matt puts them up for All the Moms ( know they are for his mom) he puts up stuff for the Dads too!
The hills are alive with the sound of music! It’s all I’m hearing in my head looking at this and it won’t stop. Please make it stop! The noise in my head! ahhhhhh……..: )

Our sweet peas are almost gone. They are my very favorite. My Dad use to take my brother and myself when we were little to the greehouse early on Mothers;s Day and buy everyone sweet peas to wear. He bought white for himself since his mother has passed away and pink or purple for my Mom and us kids. Thank you Matt for reminding me of this “sweet” memory.
To Matt’s Mom: You have a very special son to allow us a glimpse of his life and for allowing us to follow us on his journey.
