I'm walking every street in New York City.
This is the counterpoint to
my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled more than 8,000 miles on foot — all within a single city.

Your donations allow me to keep walking full-time. If you think what I'm doing is valuable and you'd like to offer some support, I would be very grateful. On the other hand, if you think I'm a worthless bum, feel free to email me and tell me to get a job, bozo. Both are excellent options!
A swamp in NYC? Really? Never expected that. This is gonna be one interesting adventure. Learning new things everyday about a city so old and rich in history. Now a “Matt adventure” too!
Good luck Matt and thanks.
Hi Dorinda! How are you? Happy New Year. :-)
You’d be surprised at what one can find in NYC, including swampland. More surprises to come, since I spent 30+ years there before moving to mountains, but I’m not telling. ;-)
This is Matt’s adventure, and like you all, I want to hear it/see it from him.
Off to check more posts, and see new photos. Yippee!
Watch out for the alligators! I heard “on the grapevine” that NYC had them in toilets, so no doubt they can find their way to the swamps! Ha, ha! (kidding)
Central Park Zoo has one of them there Alligators. Can’t wait for his visit thre. One of the coolest things about “new york” is what people “imagine” and what is realy out there. Bald Eagles in Inwood…I mean this is cool and enriching for all.
Around here they call that muck “protected wetlands”.
