In the mid-sixties, my brother Jack had that exact same car. The mother of his boss had passed away and he thought it would be a good car to pass along to his employee. It was pristine … literally the car of a little old lady who only drove it to church.
Jack was into racing at the time and proceeded to tear it apart to “cusomize” it. He later told me that it was one of the biggest regrets of his life, tearing that car to shreds. “How could I have been so stupid.”
This is the counterpoint to my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled more than 8,000 miles on foot — all within a single city. Details!
Your donations allow me to keep walking full-time. If you think what I'm doing is valuable and you'd like to offer some support, I would be very grateful. On the other hand, if you think I'm a worthless bum, feel free to email me and tell me to get a job, bozo. Both are excellent options!

The fuel cap on these Chevy’s was behind the left hand tail light. Pretty neat!!!
Cool! Here’s a video of someone opening the taillight to reveal the gas cap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcDqxrJuMsE
Thanks for the info Matt
