I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the
details of my trip
if you're so inclined.

Believe it or not, this is actually an optical illusion. This is not a box or cube, but completely flat as a pancake. just FYI
Funny! You had me for a minute.

If you want to move it put your finger in the ring at the top
One of these objects is kinda cool, and the other is not. Can you tell which is which?
Yes, that is a very boxy car.
He he! We thought the same thing. ;)
Looks like they mow in a “circle” around the box…. cool art!
Does that make it trying to fit a square peg into a round hole?
Odd looking piece of art work out in a field next to someone’s house….I see things like this out in front of businesses but in a field next to a house? hmmm…gotta be more than meets the eye.
Sorry it isn’t an awesome mailbox. If so, it would be for for lost mail.
I get the steel box…but I am trying to place the car in the piece of art as a whole….
wait a minute…Matt…you didn’t….oh no…that is the real Matt Mobile isn’t it….that is how you will make it across america in 150 days or so.
Well I kid you….nice picture…..MOve on…you have people waiting for you now………
oh that matt….always ‘walkin’ outside the box!
This looks just like a movable image on a web site I found yesterday – when I was looking for fractals.
It had a shape (you can change it to a geometric square), you could make transparent and then you could move the shape with your cursor: http://illuminations.nctm.org/activitydetail.aspx?id=70
Awesome Yard Cube!!! It would be even more cool if it had rubik’s cube-like sections.
OK – this looks like the start of a RUBIK’S CUBE- at the 1982 World’s Fair in Knoxville, TN they had the world’s largest RUBIC CUBE and it is still in Knoxville-

AND if interested, here is a 6 minute video showing the construction and movement to ther World’s Fair site in 1982.
The cube was a gift from the Hungarian government for the 1982 World’s Fair, which was held in Knoxville.
It was displayed at the entrance to Hungary’s pavilion, to commemorate its invention by Hungarian architecture professor Erno Rubik in 1974.
