Yea I was thinking the same. The trail looks isolated but when you get a glance off to the side you see the homes and places. Matt showed a great picturial of this the other day…quiet gray day then the next shot showed the highway…not realy..quiet. Nice shot. Mile post 99 was last shot and this is 150…so 50 miles down..so what is the average Matt…25 a day???
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.

Great, too, how the trails go through (and/or near) towns along the way, so you are not totally isolated.
