Great shot, and I appreciate how you got both signs in the photo. The wavy grass, the big sky, and the color of it at the time, adds to the ghostly, lonely feeling of this spot.
If you listen closely, you can almost hear the train whistle down the line.
You are in ghostbusters territory. I suspect it was not a road at all….just put there by the RR so the meandering animals would look before they crossed the tracks.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.

The stop sign is probably for snowmobiles. Did you see any trail markers?
