If Mayor Bloomberg has his way, this is the last wooden boardwalk the Rockaways will ever see.
Well, this is where it used to be, before Sandy's storm surge swept much of the five-mile-long boardwalk off its piers.
I think this was a wise business move for Mr. Obama — you can't just rely on fried chicken and credit repair.

This is the counterpoint to my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place.
