“The development of retroreflective sheeting by the 3M company in the 1940s changed the face of traffic signs forever.” I didn’t know that I could love 3M more than I already do. I guess I should’ve known that the company that brought the Post-It into my life would have more than one trick up its sleeve.
Dude.. your eye catches many things everyday people either don’t see or don’t give a damned about.. I like this and the “internet detectives” is very cool, makes this journal even more interesting and interactive hehe

This is my first comment, even though I began reading from the start on May 28th. Not long from now, I noticed another “Karen,” so I added the word “Too” to my name. Now, I’m going back to add a note about this. Silly, perhaps, but thought people should be able to tell the difference.
Incredible job in putting this blog together. Perhaps at some point a name filter could be added? No idea if that’s an option here, but thought I’d mention it.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
“Permanent plywood”—isn’t that an oxymoron?
What are signs supposed to be made of?
I’m glad you asked!

Hello Matt,
What? No sign number on this one?
Just found your wonderful site tonight, and now I’m staying up way too late to catch up.
Love the blog, and love that you are doing this at all–and for the fun of doing it.
