This is awesome!! I agree with mom on the rear not looking like a ’57. I own one but it needs this fellow’s handy work, mine isn’t quite this nice, it has been sitting a while.
It’s a ’55. The chrome along the back fender is straight on the ’55 and slopes down on the ’56 and then you had the Y’d chrome with the white insert on the ’57.

That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.

The front part of this does look like a ’57 but the rear looks like a ’56. A ’57 chevy was the memorable car of my childhood.

It is a `57. I have owned a 55,56,57,and a 58 Chev. The 56 rear is completely different from the 57.

Awesome-I was an MP in the Army also. We were rolling in 1988 Plymouth Grand Furies then, though. Would rather have had this.
