Otter Creek Park

I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

Wow, easy to spot walking but I bet even local residents don’t notice this little jewel.
Can just make out the yellow-top waste receptacle as you are whizzing by.

WOW that picture with the 360 view! Looks like there was “somthing” else down there looked like a clilds sculpture with a gold/yellow hat or something I couldn’t get it focused it.
But that was very cool.
I just had a “duh” moment… look at the trash can behind the otter!

This bicycle sculpture is a memorial to a fun loving man, John. His life partner, Linda had it commissioned after his death a couple years ago. We all still miss him lots!! He was instrumental in getting the land turned into the park. I was delighted to see this on your blog.
This is one thing that makes the blog about the trip even cooler … when we are lucky enough to get more information from locals.
The otter was a great find! Love that picture.
I’ve been reading this blog for a while but haven’t commented before…but I couldn’t help it after seeing this! Stumbling across little finds like this one must make the trip that much more special. I can’t stop smiling just looking at it!
