One guess is that there are critters out there that get into the garbage, and the tire is too heavy for them to lift. Maybe it’s windy? Maybe the garbage men liked to play Frisbee with the old lid?
In addition to the blue paint, the fence is a nice touch, too, as are the pretty flowers.
It helps keep the raccoons out. Snug fit and a little heavier so not so easy to get off. Also helps when it gets really windy and stormy in these parts. Hope you survived the sudden rain and hail that was in the area earlier this week.
I do what Ruthie does when I name my pictures. Even though the picture may be of my little girl, if there happens to be a interesting person in the background I will name it “Green Purse” even though my daughter isn’t carrying a purse to direct the eye to finding the green purse. Or landscape shots that I will name “Broken Wheel” because way off in the distance is an old wagon wheel with half the spokes rusted away.
For instance, I would have called the above photo “God Flower” or perhaps “Die Aunt Sis”…but then again, I am a strange bird.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
My that blue tire is very, very Green!
What, no awesome mailbox attached to this, too?

I suspect the reason your pic’s are so interesting is because you have a great eye for detail. You could make a game of it…find the little flowers!
