This site says that a new firehouse was to be constructed in 2004 to house the fleet, but unless this is much larger in person (or it’s a fleet of one fire engine), I’m guessing they had to postpone construction, and keep it on a volunteer basis.
It’s usually an all volunteer fire department and the siren goes off at Noon everyday. Old lore has it that it was to let the farmers in the field know what time it was.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.

You know Karen too….it looks like a doube wide door…so two would make a fleet. Wonder how big a area they cover. Nice basic firehouse.
