Oh yes I’m right there with you Candice. Maybe we could get Joisy Jeff to join us along with some of the other crew here and go off on an adventure of our own using these handcars.
Oh cute Matt, very cute. Took me a minute too to see what you were talking about. I immediately saw the hand cars and was thrilled. Then after reading your captions I had to look harder and there she was! The newest model of handcart! Shiny new looking good. All decked out for a perfect walking experience.
Good one, Matt. I used to play on those kinds of handcars when I was a kid. (The ones in the picture that are NOT working.) It’s hard work to power them up/down a train track.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
But, gee, after those rocky roads I’m not sure if it IS the one in the middle!
It’s the one pushed by a homeless man !!
hehe! This made me smile.
Cute — the others might work if they only had some more track.
That’s cute Matt. Very Funny. It took me a minute to get what you did.!!!!!
Very cure Matt – thanks to Flickr Zoom, I can see your handcart was amongst worthy company. Are those rail cars made of aluminum?
You know, If I were there, I’d really want to try and get those things moving, like in the silent movies!
Wow! Those are some BIG rocks over to the right, near the river bank.

LOL! :) I can just see us, pushing up/down, up/down :)
Dibs on the one in the middle!
The little “handcar” that could!
The handcar that is smiling…. it deserves to shine after the roads you just put it through!

How do you know one was working….did you get on it and try it….and if you DID is that a Dimerit because it was not walking…..Just wondering.
Hi Jeff,
You might want to take a closer look now that you might be more awake. Hee hee.
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
The cart, monkey in the middle……….but I still think he is riding on the cart when we aren’t looking.
That was a pretty good delayed joke. I had to look twice before I got it. Very funny : )
Too cool! You’re still having fun out there I see. I love it man, keep on enjoying each day. Blessings!!
Perfect example of Matt’s one-track mind (and humour).
LOL! Took me a minute to catch on, Matt!
Matt
Don’t let these things get your mind off TRACK for your real purpose! Which one still works the one in front or the one in back? Just kidding!!!
How are you wheels holding up? They look like they are doing great for you. I love the areodynamic covers on your wheels – like some bikes have.
If your floopy hat had only been areodynamic!
There’s a great gyro shop (or was) right there by the tracks. Did you visit it?
