Day 141

Looking east

August 14th, 2010

That's some sort of aluminum plant back there.

  1. Candice in Alabama says:

So that’s where you’ve BEEN! Keep on trekking forward (Go West Young Man)!

    • Candice in Alabama says:

I wonder if they supply materials for or manufacture the Big Samurai swords? I see a few in action on a hilltop on the left.

  2. Lisa in Goldsboro NC says:

    West bound and down
    loaded up and truckin
He’s gonna do what they say can’t be done
He’s got a long way to go and a short time to get there,
He’s west bound just watch ole Matt walk on!

  3. Gigi says:

Thinking of walking back to New York?

  4. Don in Tennessee says:

What are you doing looking EAST.

Don’t you know? -It’s to late to turn back now.

  5. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:

Did you get yours to make yourself a cap? You know to protect you from the “aliens”? lol.
Is this the “gorge area” that every local has been raving about? I’ve only seen similar shots on TV that show the Colorado river(?) or snake river(?) winding along through the mountains and Grand Canyon. Shots like these I would guess are best seen the “big picture” from the sky? The hills/mountains/rocks look desolate and bare and then you have this beautiful river flowing right through it. Wonderful sights.

So is this where I get my foil for my Thanksgiving Turkey?

  6. Barb V from Michigan says:

Were the aluminum siding and tin roofs your first clue?

  7. katzien in austin says:

“Get thee behind me Washington!” Onward to Rockaway! I’m a few days behind but catching up quickly.
