I’m beginning to doubt this place is affiliated with the real Google

I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

interesting take on Google moving to town…. I think it was all about cheap electricity so I hope the town got some jobs out of it.
I think I would have gone in and gotten some of those FREE Doritos or Lays chips..and then done some sneaky sluething! Or if you paid the 50 cents for TreeTop juices, then you should be able to just ask what the heck the Google sign is all about!

Did someone at Google say, where can we build a data center PLUS have cheap electricity AND beautiful scenery AND FREE Doritos and Lays Chips?
If you look at Karin’s Googleville link, you’ll see that Doritos used to be $.25; I guess no one was buying them, so they had to start giving them away!

This makes me think. How would I contact Matt.? I used to live in Portand,and I see by the map that he will walking down the Street I lived on. I’m curious if the house is still there or if something else might have taken it’s place.
