When I passed by the restaurant where he was sitting yesterday evening, Rich left behind a cold beer just to come walk with me for a while.

The ultimate sacrifice

I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

That was a good thing to do. Hope you guys had a nice chat and learned something new from one another I’m sure. Rich was a lucky man to have seen you and walk awhile with you. I bet you made his day and weekend too!
Is it me, or does this new friend bear an uncanny resemblance to the Dalai Lama? This is a good thing- the Dalai is my hero. Going incognito in America with his beer. . :)
