Big Sale

I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

I wonder where the word “gigantic” is…or neighborhood sale (many families), etc…
My guess is Gales Creek is a shopping center-If you have to put a sign 5.5 miles from where it is–sounds like tough times for the retail business right now.
Gales Creek is a very small town about 5.5 miles from Forest Grove.
Good yard sale?
I’d say it’s an indoor garage sale and they have new stuff added on. My Mom and I had an indoor garage sale one year at Christmas time. Was a good success. People shopped for presents for their kids. Not everyone can afford brand new so it worked out well.
So Matt, are you gonna go and see what they have?

It was drizzling this morning
I think it’s a garage sale that has 5.5 miles of selling all under roof! Now that’s a sale! Wonder if they have a treadmill for sale?
It could be like a sale that we have near my home…. a continual garage sale so every now and then they add the “new stuff” to their sign so folks will come again.
At least they tell you how far it is. I have followed signs and arrows and more signs and more arrows all will no mention how far it was. Gales Creek must not have enough local traffic … enterprising to place signs so far afield.
my neighbors did that too….their lawn was a perpetual yard sale….they would go up and down alleys at night collecting junk and putting it in the sale and for real..we consumers buy it up like crazy! well….one mans junk!
