Day 149

Big Sale

August 22nd, 2010

  1. Ned in NJ says:

“Buy my New Stuff. Just like my Old Stuff”

  2. Gigi says:

Can I buy the 5.5 miles inside the box? It might take me to Rockaway Beach in time for Matt’s arrival.

  3. I wonder where the word “gigantic” is…or neighborhood sale (many families), etc…

  4. Don in Tennessee says:

My guess is Gales Creek is a shopping center-If you have to put a sign 5.5 miles from where it is–sounds like tough times for the retail business right now.

  5. Roe says:

    Good yard sale?

  6. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:

I’d say it’s an indoor garage sale and they have new stuff added on. My Mom and I had an indoor garage sale one year at Christmas time. Was a good success. People shopped for presents for their kids. Not everyone can afford brand new so it worked out well.
So Matt, are you gonna go and see what they have?

  7. Candice in Alabama says:

    Is that WET pavement?

  8. John in MI says:

I think it’s a garage sale that has 5.5 miles of selling all under roof! Now that’s a sale! Wonder if they have a treadmill for sale?

  9. MN Roxanne says:

It could be like a sale that we have near my home…. a continual garage sale so every now and then they add the “new stuff” to their sign so folks will come again.

  10. Thomas says:

At least they tell you how far it is. I have followed signs and arrows and more signs and more arrows all will no mention how far it was. Gales Creek must not have enough local traffic … enterprising to place signs so far afield.

  11. my neighbors did that too….their lawn was a perpetual yard sale….they would go up and down alleys at night collecting junk and putting it in the sale and for real..we consumers buy it up like crazy! well….one mans junk!
