Hi Matt,
I got to watch “The World Before Your Feet” yesterday at the Guild Theater in Albuquerque, NM. I am a retired geography teacher. I was born in Flushing General and lived my first six years at 153rd St. and 72nd.Rd next to Kissena Blvd. You were near the place this day… I wonder if you’ve already walked past our three story apartment building. I lived in NY, Queens, Long Island and Syracuse and Binghamton for 31 years, and now I’ve lived in New Mexico for 35 years. I am still. New Yorker, as I told the Guild Theater owner as I walked out of the screening yesterday and he asked me why I was weeping… “With joy, I said; such homage to my home town.” Thanks, Matt; I’m sure you’ve got a lot more than six comments on your blog now thanks to the film!

This is the counterpoint to my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled more than 8,000 miles on foot — all within a single city. Details!
Your donations allow me to keep walking full-time. If you think what I'm doing is valuable and you'd like to offer some support, I would be very grateful. On the other hand, if you think I'm a worthless bum, feel free to email me and tell me to get a job, bozo. Both are excellent options!
