After all these years, I'm finally nearing the end. I only have four walks left to do: one in the Bronx, one spanning Brooklyn and Queens, one in Manhattan, and one in Staten Island. I'll be doing the final walk on September 21.
The progress map will be fully updated soon, and I'll post some photos from recent years as well. Stay tuned!
I’ve only just found you, Matt. I really am into what you’re doing, and what you’ve done. If I was nearby to you I would enjoy walking that last day with you because I am so curious what will be next for you. Keep doing whatever you want whenever you choose, this is the stuff of legends, man. Bravo!
I loved your story and documentary. What will you do next?? Is you ever end up in the Dallas area, we would love to see you! Best wishes and I so admire your persistence in following your dreams.
This is the counterpoint to my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled more than 8,000 miles on foot — all within a single city. Details!
Your donations allow me to keep walking full-time. If you think what I'm doing is valuable and you'd like to offer some support, I would be very grateful. On the other hand, if you think I'm a worthless bum, feel free to email me and tell me to get a job, bozo. Both are excellent options!
How exciting! Matt, thank you for taking us along on this beautiful journey with you. You have been a huge inspiration for so many. :)
