Welcome to my “neck of the woods”… God’s Country… North Idaho. You’re going to love Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes, the biking/walking trail that goes for miles. Good thing you will be hitting it mid-week, because on weekends the bike traffic is like a major interstate.
I’m so glad he’ll have trails not busy roads to travel… are you going to look up Matt while he’s in your area?? Thanks for all the info you’ve shared on the area…
And a fond farwell as you leave Montana. I hope you found in the Big Sky a state full of friendly people, awesome areas of “emptiness”, beautiful vistas and fond memories. I will continue to follow your journey.
Yeah! and Yeah! Another state reached, another one down. Forest looks lush there. Pretty. How many different birds and wildlife have you spotted and seen? Got to be amazing the differences between NYC and there.
Looks like the U.S. dept. of Agriculture could stand to spruce up the sign a bit eh? Glad the trails are marked though. I always like to know where I’m at.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
Matt – You are back again!
Is that supposed to be “PANHANDLER”? – I guess I’ll go google MAP!
I’m slow – PANDHANDLE. Like the Oklahoma Panhandle or the Florida Panhandle! I’m suffering from “not enough weekend”.
No Panhandling….just freebies.
Oh! I’ll bet this will be a gorgeous part of the country! Can’t wait to see the pictures.
Depends on what he chooses to shoot and show us. Hope he shows us great views but who knows. Been good so far.
set your clock back yet?
My grandparents live in Sandpoint – it is beautiful. Enjoy :)

Isn’t the Whole World “god’s country”??
Sure it is… some parts are just more scenic than others. :-)

As opposed to Montana which was biggest state on your route, Idaho will probably be the shortest!

oooohhhh…boooooo…..: )
Woot! Woot!! You’re in my time zone now. :)
So can we call it the “fingerling” part of the state :D

Another state! Way to go Matt!
Whoo-hoo! Way to go, Matt! Just a few hundred more miles to go!
Yep, another state, another calendar month (as I said a few posts back). Amazing.
As always, looking forward to the pictures of the new terrain, new people, new adventures.
