We’ve been tsunami ready here in Arkansas for at least 15 years. In that time we have had ZERO fatalities and come to think of it, we’ve had zero tsunamis(?) what is the plural of that word?
This is pretty serious stuff and glad they have it. Do they have people practice it at all I wonder. Hope for no earthquakes while you are out there. Thanks for this picture.
Anybody remember the tsunami after the earthquake in Alaska? It is serious business. Thank God it doesn’t happen very often. But we learn, through disasters.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
You just never know.

I like the little “rest room guy” running up the hill… made me giggle…
I giggled too at him… thought it looked funny- even though a serious subject…
his nationality is Russian……up the hill to the bathroom
I see they were Storm Ready for 2005-2008. I guess they’re not ready anymore.
Dang, how did the signs get bent? Must have been some gale force winds!
“In case of earthquake, go to high ground or inland” ? but, but the higher you are the further you roll down.
You go to high ground because the earthquake causes the tsunamis. So then if you roll down, you drown. Sorry. No disrespect meant in this comment.

Hopefully the signs remind those that forget! Don’t want to end up like Aceh.
Yea that one was massive when you look at the pictures.
So strange to think that the Oregon has a tsunami-vulnerable areas.
Where plates collide!
Actually subside.
Oh heck – subduct!
Tectonic Plates, that is – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subduction
