You are now at the intersection of Ridge Road (Route 6) and Indianapolis Blvd (U.S. 41) in Highland, Indiana (Kitty Corner from Wicker Park/Golf Course). Continue west on Ridge Road to Calumet Avenue (about 1.8 miles) and head South ( about 1.6 miles) to West Superior Street, and you will find (on the south side) a Vietnam War Memorial Park in the town of Munster, IN. Definitely a must see! I don’t know if the old tree in Howard Woods with the name “Boomer” spray-painted in red is still there. The Labrador retriever was a town legend in the 70’s. He was known to escaping the long arm of the law (and the town garage too). All in the nature of heat!
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
