This little family burial ground is believed to date back to the mid-18th century. The oldest identifiable grave is that of Colonel Jeromus Remsen, a veteran of the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War, who died in 1790.

Zoom in and you can see that's what's stenciled on the concrete lintel above the entrance to the brick building here at the city DOT's Glendale Yard maintenance facility.
