I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

Here's my progress so far:
they were getting tied of replacing it so they gave it good protection thats what it looks like to me
They can get gerbils by mail order, and don’t have to worry about them escaping!

it’s to prevent kids from smashing it from their car window with baseball bats as they drive by. yeah, that took me a couple of minutes to figure out, but by golly, it made sense. although it doesn’t prevent smashings from above, just the side.. so i’m not sure really..
As a rural carrier, needless to say, the mailboxes are my favorite pics!
Also, the plows do tend to hit them when the snow is deep.
